Cosmetics and pharmaceutical drugs are also using the gum as emulsifying agent, binder and a viscosity increasing or suspending agent. The wine makers are also using gum Arabic as wine fining agent.

This is also a vital ingredient in shoe polish and is also useful in the production of homemade incense cones. This is also being used as lickable adhesive for instance on envelopes, cigarette papers and postage stamps. 

The lithographic printers also use this for keeping the non-image areas of the plate that is water receptive. The treatment can also help in stopping oxidation of aluminum printing plates interval between the plate’s processing and its use on printing press.
